You will not be disappointed!

What to Expect at Sojo Spa
At Sojo Spa, you can expect a relaxing day for sure, but first – make sure you’re ready to make the most of your day, as this place has a lot to offer.
First you’ll schedule your entry time online, as you do have to schedule the day and hour that you will arrive to prevent overcrowding. However, once you are in, you can stay the rest of the day if you’d like.
There is plenty to do so you may as well come early and stay late! Their hours are 9:00 am to 9:30 daily and the prices range from $115 to $145 for a daily admission.
When you first get to the Sojo Spa Club, you will be expected to Valet your car for $15 (there’s really no other parking). Once you get inside, you show your ID (you must be 18 years or older) and show your confirmation e-mail for them to scan.
Make sure you arrive within the hour that you’re scheduled, as they cannot always allow walk-ins.
They will then check your bags (no outside food or drinks allowed) and give you a locker number. The first locker you will put your shoes in as this is a barefoot facility.
Next you head upstairs (in the elevator) to the separate women’s or men’s bath house where you will be greeted with a robe and a towel and you will change into your bathing suit and get ready for your rejuvenating experience!
What's Included in the Daily Admission?
Saunas
In your daily admission cost (which ranges depending upon day of the week, holiday, etc.) you have access to pretty much everything in the spa facility – besides the treatments which cost extra.
You have unlimited access to the saunas like the Red Clay Sauna, the Charcoal Sauna (my personal favorite!), the Far-Infrared Sauna, and the Dry Sauna just to name a few. There is also a cold room that is great for cooling down when you get too hot.
In these saunas, you basically lay on the floor or sit and relax. They aren’t generally too crowded and people don’t really stay in them for a prolonged period as they are very hot! The saunas range from about 105 degrees to 185 degrees. There are wooden blocks inside that I like to lay a towel down and lay my head on.
You WILL sweat. A lot. There are water stations around, so be sure to stay hydrated!
Saunas are known to have many health benefits, like removing toxins and heavy metals from the body, improving heart rate and arterial balance, promoting collagen production, releasing stress, relaxing muscles, helping with weight loss, and improving your quality of sleep.
There are phone lockers available outside of the saunas to keep your phone safe while you sweat.
There are several relaxing spots to just sit and unwind while at Sojo Spa too. Here is one space by the saunas overlooking New York City. There is comfortable seating and places to lie down and enjoy the views. You can watch boats cruise by, birds fly, helicopters, and more! Take advantage of these spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows and just take your day at a slower pace. Your body and mind will thank you.
Therapeutic Baths
Outside there are 3 different kinds of therapeutic baths to relax in, each offering their own special benefits for your body.
These baths range in temperature from about 95-100 degrees. There are 2 Silk Baths, a Carbon-Rich bath (My fave! You get covered by tiny bubbles and it feels amazing!) and a Hinoki bath off to the back beneath the pergola. They envelope you when you get in and feel wonderful!
If you do get too hot, there is a great (COLD!) waterfall to cool off under and it’s a popular spot for photo ops. There is also a water station near this area and spaces to leave your robe, plus lounge chairs to catch some sun.
In addition, the rock footpath is nearby and a great place to massage your tired feet and sit for a bit.
Hydrotherapy Pool
There is a large hydrotherapy pool at the Sojo Spa with many different offerings.
There are spots with jets for your feet, your back, your shoulders, and more. All while overlooking Manhattan! It’s a truly enjoyable experience – though the jets for your shoulders can be a bit much, feeling like a fire hose…once you settle into it though it really does feel like hands massaging your neck.
There is also a section where you lie down and the jets massage your legs, back, and shoulders. All you do is sit back and enjoy the view. That one is my favorite.
I would recommend wearing a bathing suit with sufficient coverage or perhaps one that is not your favorite as the jets can potentially stretch out your suit.
Infinity Pool & Rooftop Terrace
But wait, there’s more! The infinity pool at Sojo Spa is the most photographed amenity. This is where girls post their best shot to instagram. It is a beautiful sight and the pool is always the perfect temperature. Make sure to stay for a sunset and the NYC lights!
There are several spots to lay out and enjoy your day, like this spot with clear NYC and Hudson River views. This is also right outside of the restaurant, so grab a snack and take a peek!
To the right is the rooftop terrace. It’s the green space of the facility with more loungers and some lush foliage with views of the George Washington Bridge and the city.
This is an 8-story facility, so there are lots of special places to see and enjoy!
Other Amenities
Also included in your daily admission is a gym, hot stone beds, men/women only baths in the locker rooms, and a work space. At Sojo Spa, they really did think of everything!
There are also people cleaning throughout the facility and they are always very friendly. There is even a hotel with sleek, modern decor if you would like to spend the night or the weekend. One night will run you around $700, with admission to the spa included.
Dining at Sojo Spa
The food is surprisingly good at Sojo! Since they are a spa, I wasn’t expecting too much as far as the food goes but it is very good. They do have some Korean inspired rice dishes along with sandwiches, salads, pizza, and ramen, plus vegan options.
The brownies and cookies are excellent and HUGE for $5, so make sure you grab one before it gets too late as they will be gone. They also offer delicious smoothies and ice cream.
Take your food inside or outside to enjoy the views. There is plenty of seating!
The first picture is where you come out of the cafeteria with your food and the yellow chairs are mainly where people dine.
Upstairs you can see the infinity pool and people enjoying the views. To the left of the cafeteria is the volcanic mud bath – you can walk by and see people getting buried up to their necks in mud!
The next photo is a snack bar up by the infinity pool where you can grab a quick drink or smoothie.
This facility is ALOCHOL FREE though, just to be clear. People would pass out too easily with alcohol and the high temperatures of the saunas and baths, not to mention it keeps the facility quiet and relaxing for all of the guests.
